Beshear rescinds appointment of Dale Hamblin

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has rescinded the previous administration’s appointment of Dale Hamblin to the Workers’ Compensation Board.  The Workers’ Compensation Nominating Commission is accepting new applications for the position.

Applicants for the position must be a licensed attorney for a minimum of eight (8) years and must have the qualifications required of a Court of Appeals Judge, except for residence in a district, and shall receive the same salary and shall be subject to the same standards of conduct.

Interested applicants are required to send a packet, which consists of:

(a) Cover letter
(b) Resume
(c) Completed application supplement including writing sample (available online at Workers’ Compensation Board Application Supplement-2019)  to the following:

Applications may also be submitted via email to norah.higgins@ky.gov.  Applications must be received at the Frankfort office of the Department of Workers’ Claims on or before 12 noon, Eastern Time, on Friday, January 17, 2020.  Any application received after that time will not be considered.  Questions may be directed to Ms. Higgins at norah.higgins@ky.gov.
